I think overall our thoughts are similar (though I wasn't as concerned with the lack of action . . . I was too distracted by all the blood). Just for my personal taste, there was altogether too much gore. There is a DVD of the a tour of the original Broadway production with Angela Lansbury and George Hern. They may have it at a library and probably at Netflix if interested. Personally, I think I'll stick to that version. I did see your review.
