R.I.P. Heath Ledger
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock all day, you’ve heard about Heath Ledger passing away. I can’t really add much to what other people have said, so I’m just going to hold a moment of silence in his honor.

…thank God they finished Batman.
In all seriousness: Rest in Peace, Mr. Ledger.

I really liked Heath Ledger — a lot of promise unfulfilled there. Very very sad. And more than a little shocking since I don’t normally see his name in the tabloid headlines — like Lindsay Lohan, Amy Winehouse, etc — those are the people you expect to see RIP’d on the news. His family must be going through hell. However, from a strictly business perspective, imagine how his current director in London(?) must feel right now. It will be interesting to find out what really happened. I’m guessing he died in his sleep from a stroke or something.

I’ve never actually seen Heath Ledger in a movie, but your BATMAN response was similar to mine.
I mean, it is very sad, but as far as personal impact, that was my response.

I’ve seen a lot of his movies, and while I enjoyed his performances (I think is Brokeback Mountain performance was phenomenal, despite disliking the movie as a whole), never really got into HIM as an actor. It is indeed a tragic day when such a great film actor dies, but as far as personal impact…
Personally, I blame TMZ and the tabloids for my apathy.
